The WHWC provides services, counseling, classes, and activities for the promotion of health and wellness. The center is staffed by a Licensed Practical Nurse, Monday through Friday. Special programs are provided by Nurse Practitioners, Pharmacists, Dieticians and other heath professionals who believe that people want to know how to be healthy. The Whitney Health and Wellness Center serves as the umbrella for the following three programs.

Community Based In Home Services

The State of Wyoming provides funds for Community Based In Home Services (CBIHS), which assist senior citizens 60 and older as well as disabled adults 18 and over who are unable to perform daily tasks because of problems which include physical, emotional, cognitive functions, abuse, and/or neglect. Services are paid for on a sliding fee scale. Payments are made monthly, upon receipt of invoice from the Center. Scheduling is by arrangement.

Caregiver Program

The Caregiver support program helps the caregiver in planning care and arranging services, provides training, support and guidance. Caregivers are the primary focus of this service, and we look forward to helping the caregivers in our community lessen their daily stress. In-home respite care is available Monday through Friday by appointment. Two groups are offered monthly for caregiver support and education.

Horizons
Horizons is a new program offered though the CBIHS department. Horizons offers Certified Nursing Care, performed by Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA's), and Homemaking Services to those in need. Services include assistance with dressing, bathing, grooming, oral hygiene, incontinent care and respite care. Light housekeeping, assistance with shopping, laundry, running errands and meal planning and preparation are additional services that Horizons offers. There are no eligibility requirements to receive services. Whether you have a disability, a recent surgery or other health problems we can help. Horizons offers both short and long term assistance and is available to the young and the old. Horizons offers an affordable option to the increase in costs of nursing care and homemaking services. Nursing care is provided at rate of $15/hour and Homemaking services are $11/hour. If you have any questions about this program please feel free to call.
fee schedules
All program fees are based on a suggested donation for those 60 years or greater. A standard fee is required for non-seniors. Those seniors who request special fee consideration will be evaluated on an individual basis.
